The appearance of spider veins on the face has an official medical name - rosacea and occurs when blood circulation is impaired. People with sensitive skin especially suffer from this disease, they are more susceptible to temperature extremes, cold and some components of cosmetic preparations, which provoke problems with blood vessels. It all starts with a slight reaction: a burning sensation, itching or irritation in the chin, nose or forehead. Then the unpleasant symptoms can become permanent and move to the next stage of the disease, which is characterized by intense redness of the skin and the appearance of a vascular mesh on the face. How to prevent rosacea, and what means will help to make injured vessels less visible, will tell the women's magazine JustLady. Location: Location:
Vessels on the face - the reasons for the appearance
Most of all, the appearance of spider veins on the face is subject to delicate skin, which reacts more quickly to any adverse factors. Such skin needs careful care, sometimes with specialized products that can not only cleanse, moisturize and nourish, but also protect the skin from the harmful effects of the environment. Risk factors include:
• Temperature changes, long exposure to cold, heat, ultraviolet radiation (being in the cold, in the open sun, frequent visits to the solarium, baths or saunas);
• Continuous consumption of too spicy or hot food, alcohol and smoking;
• Hormonal disorders;
• Stressful situations.
The mechanism of the onset of rosacea is quite simple. Vessels on the face, as well as on other parts of the body, constantly narrow and expand - this is a normal reaction to external influences and other stimuli. The connective tissue, of which the vessels are composed, becomes less elastic with age, the water-salt balance of the skin is disturbed and, as a consequence, capillary microtrauma occurs. The predisposition to this ailment can be inherited and manifest even at an early age. Although spider veins on a child's face are quite rare, in the absence of preventive measures, rosacea can progress and, over time, develop into a rather large problem.
Vessels on the face - prevention of rosacea
Sensitive skin requires special, gentle care. Proper hygiene and well-chosen daily care products moisturize and tone the skin, strengthen the walls of blood vessels. Avoid lotions with a high content of alcohol and other irritants; when choosing a cream, be sure to look at its composition. It should contain the following components that have a therapeutic and prophylactic effect on the skin:
- Vitamin C - increases the tone of connective tissue, strengthens the walls of blood vessels and stimulates the production of collagen;
- Vitamin E - nourishes the skin, gives elasticity to blood vessels, accelerates skin regeneration, heals minor injuries and ruptures of blood vessels;
- Vitamin P- increases the resistance of tissues to the harmful effects of the external environment;
- Vitamin K - increases the elasticity and strength of blood vessels, reduces their permeability, helps to normalize blood circulation.
Getting rid of spider veins is much more difficult than preventing them. Therefore, preventive measures using special masks (with collagen, nutritional extracts and vitamin components) and light peeling with products containing plant enzymes should be carried out regularly and, preferably, in specialized beauty salons. As for decorative cosmetics and independent daily care, it is necessary to adhere to some rules:
• Choose cosmetics without ingredients that can cause irritation or allergies: alcohol, honey, menthol, eucalyptus oil, fruit acids, perfumery fragrances;
• In summer, use products with a high level of SPF-protection against ultraviolet radiation, in winter - creams containing peanut oil, grape seed oil and vitamin C;
• Thoroughly cleanse the skin before going to bed, apply the care cream in a thin layer - at night your skin should "breathe";
• Try to avoid steam inhalation procedures for colds, replace them with an aroma lamp or aroma pendant with essential oil.
Vessels on the face - treatment
Proper cosmetological care and skin protection from harmful factors will prevent the appearance of rosacea, but you can get rid of the existing spider veins only by hardware methods in specialized clinics.
1. Laser photocoagulation. As a result of the action of the laser on the problem area, the vascular walls stick together, and the capillary becomes invisible. The method is considered gentle, does not injure the skin and does not cause great discomfort to the patient, and is suitable for removing spider veins up to 2 mm in diameter.
2. Ozone injection. With the help of a microneedle, an oxygen-ozone mixture is introduced into the lumen of the vessel, which triggers the processes of biochemical oxidation in the cells. The result is the destruction (disappearance) of diseased vessels. Ozone therapy does not cause side reactions, does not leave scars and allows you to completely get rid of spider veins.
3. Sclerotherapy. It is especially effective when acting on venous spider veins, getting rid of them occurs by introducing a sclerosant preparation into the lumen of the vessel. The vessel is excluded from the general bloodstream and completely disappears 1-1.5 months after injection. Sclerotherapy is more commonly used to remove spider veins on the legs.
Removal of blood vessels on the face - folk methods
Mask for strengthening blood vessels No. 1. Mix equal parts grape seed oil, calendula, dandelion and sophora extract. Apply on face before going to bed for 20-30 minutes, blot excess with a tissue. Carry out the course for two months.
Mask for strengthening blood vessels No. 2. Grape seed oil, cypress seed extract, galangal, butcher's, mimosa and blueberry extract mix in equal proportions and apply to cleansed face. To accelerate the penetration of nutrients into the epidermis, cover your face with a warm napkin. After 15-20 minutes, wash your face and apply a nourishing cream. Do the mask twice a week. You cannot completely get rid of spider veins with its help, but the redness will become less noticeable.
