Video: How To Dilute Hair Dye

If you decide to dye your hair at home, take this process seriously. No matter how gentle the dye is, it enters into a chemical reaction with an oxidizing agent (with the exception of henna and basma). And even a small mistake in preparing for hair dyeing can lead to unpleasant consequences: unexpected hair color, indelible spots on the face and an allergic reaction. Location: Location: To dilute the hair color product, prepare a glass or porcelain bowl, a plastic spoon or stirring rod, cellophane or rubber gloves, the cream itself, and an oxidizer. Typically, hair dye packs already have everything you need in the right amount and in the right proportions. Sometimes manufacturers provide for a convenient design of a bottle with an oxidizing agent (activator),into which you simply squeeze out the cream paint from the tube, shake it and from which you immediately distribute the product through the hair.
In professional beauty salons, the masters always dilute the coloring components and the oxidizing agent in a bowl. For one procedure, they can use dyes of different shades, mixing them, diluting them, which results in a more suitable color. For example, if you want to dye your hair chocolate hair color with a shade of red - get brown and chestnut colors and mix them in a certain proportion. For a pronounced red shade, take dyes in a 1: 1 ratio; for a slightly noticeable burgundy sheen on brown hair, add a quarter of red to the brown paint during the preparation process.
So you can experiment with other shades that are close in scale that you want to get. But remember that when mixing, you should use only one brand of paints (due to the different composition of the oxidizing agent from different manufacturers).
When diluting paint, use an oxidizer (activator) intended only for this line of paints. The proportions in which the paint and the activator should be mixed, as a rule, also differ - do not measure the components "by eye", otherwise you risk getting a different result. If you are looking for a more durable color, use a professional product. They give intense color and last much longer. Professional oxidizer and paint packaged in large bottles. The proportions are always prescribed in the instructions, sometimes on the package or tube.
After you have combined the dye and the activator, immediately apply the mixture to your hair. Diluted paint cannot be stored.
