Video: ❶ Alternative Makeup For Masquerade And Carnival

How not to become a parody of yourself on New Year's Eve or at the celebration of Halloween, but, on the contrary, cause admiration among others? Indeed, it often happens that a person who wants to impress the imagination of all participants in the holiday looks so ridiculous that all the efforts he spent on creating an outlandish image go unnoticed. Location: Location: Masquerade, carnival, fiesta - as soon as Europeans did not call a holiday of disobedience, originally aimed at ridiculing the existing social order! But over time, both carnival fun and masquerade rallies have become something of a tradition. Masks became associated with unnaturalness and coldness, and carnival became synonymous with someone else's celebration of life. How to revive the idea of a fun celebration, and create a wonderful inspired image with the help of makeup?
Firstly, in the process of creating an image, in no case should you just mindlessly copy it, using elements of the style of stars or photo models. Truism - "all people are different" - in this case can be uttered at an opportune moment. And really: why try on other people's masks, if not as a parody of the image of another person? Alternative make-up does not mean an alternative "I" of the one who decided, without hesitation, to use almost all the modern possibilities of image formation offered by stylists, and decorated himself from head to toe with sparkles, rhinestones and, to top it all off, applied when applying makeup elements of body art.
Secondly, going to the carnival, you should not limit yourself to the traditional set of mask images: bunny, snowflake, pirate, vampire, princess, etc. But excessive shocking will be inappropriate. Heavy makeup - and many methods of applying it are meant by alternative makeup - will be a truly difficult test for someone who wants to, for example, dress up in a Thumbelina suit and paint their face in all the colors of the rainbow. Undoubtedly, at any carnival there must be an element of protest, but the image itself must be harmonious and, at the same time, not trivial.
Thirdly, in each image there should be some mystery, which could become the basis for the legend about the participant of the holiday or confirm the story already known to everyone (if, for example, a literary character or a film hero was chosen). Let's say, using body art on one half of the face or body, you can literally tell the story of Ichthyander or Darth Vader. And, having abundantly adorned the eyelids with rhinestones or even precious stones, become the Princess-Nesmeyanoy.
