The shapes are convenient because they have a scale with numbers that correspond to the length of the nail. Due to this, when applying the material, it is easier to navigate in its quantity. In most cases, shape-building is used when it is difficult to pick up tips under the nail, as well as when correcting cracks and breaks. The strength of artificial nails does not depend on the choice of the type of shape, but when using paper forms, the nails look more beautiful, since you can adjust the shape to each nail. With teflon and metal, this is harder, since they are standard, and all nails have different shapes.
Extension of nails on forms is considered a more difficult way than extension on tips. However, such marigolds look more natural and graceful than the version with a glued artificial plate (tips), covered with a layer of acrylic on top. And for your natural nails this extension method is safer.
