French manicure is a plate treatment in which most of the nail is covered with light pink or light beige varnish, and a white strip is at the tip of the nail. This type of manicure looks good on moderate to short nails and is especially popular with brides. Location: Location: It is believed that the French manicure was created in the USA in 1976 by Jeff Pink, head of the ORLY company. The manicure quickly became popular with Hollywood actresses as went with different outfits. And it got its name at a fashion show in Paris, where it came to the taste of models, and then the rest of French women. Then Pink called his creation French.
You can do this manicure too, which is already considered a classic. Prepare your fingers first. If there are polish residues on the nails, remove them with a special liquid. Treat your nails if necessary. They should not be too long, and ideally, the overgrown tip should not be more than 6 mm. The shape can be any, according to your taste - rectangular, rounded or pointed.
Apply base coat evenly and thinly. Apply white nail polish to the tip of the nail. The white stripe should not be too wide. If you doubt that you can do it neatly, use the special template. It is glued to the base of the nail and prevents the varnish from getting beyond a certain border, which is called the "smile line".
Wait for the white varnish to dry. After that, delete the template if you used it. From the cuticle to the very edge of the nail, apply a light varnish - pink or beige. Do not use overly saturated non-translucent polishes, otherwise the white tip will not be visible under them. Apply a maximum of two coats. Let the varnish dry.
Apply a layer of top coat to your nails. Allow the product to dry thoroughly again. To keep your manicure longer, apply an extra layer of topcoat every few days.
To make this process easier and more comfortable, you can purchase a special set for French manicure in a store or beauty salon. If desired, the strip can be made not white, but gray, red, blue or any other color.
