Video: ❶ How Moles Are Removed
Large moles located on open areas of the body often look very unaesthetic. Therefore, the desire of a person to get rid of an ugly skin formation is quite understandable. But the removal of moles must be taken seriously and carefully. Only a qualified specialist can determine the type of mole and choose the best way to remove it. Location: Location:
In some cases, it is simply necessary to remove moles. There are two main reasons for this:
- the location of education in such a place where it is exposed to constant injury from clothing or shoes;
- any visual change in the mole, that is, its growth, discoloration, the appearance of inflammation, ulceration or bleeding, these symptoms require a doctor's consultation.
Before carrying out an operation to remove any skin formation, it is necessary to consult a dermatologist or oncodermatologist. After removal, it is desirable to conduct a histological examination of the excised tissue. Self-removal of moles is categorically contraindicated.
There are several methods for removing moles:
Laser removal is one of the most effective and modern methods. When using a laser, thrombosis of small vessels occurs, which prevents possible metastasis and reduces blood loss. In addition, the procedure is painless, the skin recovers much faster than after alternative procedures, and after removal, an almost invisible scar remains. The only drawback is that this service is not available everywhere due to expensive laser equipment.
Electrocoagulation is also a fairly common method. The mole is exposed to an electric current. The procedure takes a few minutes, after which small inconspicuous scars remain. Disadvantages - even with local anesthesia, unpleasant sensations often occur, in addition, a mole removed by this method cannot be presented to histologists, since it simply burns out.
Surgical removal - the mole is excised within healthy tissue. This method is chosen when a malignant transformation is suspected. The operation is performed in oncological hospitals. After such removal, a noticeable scar remains, but there is no time for aesthetics.
Cryodestruction - a mole is exposed to liquid nitrogen. The extremely low temperature causes deep tissue freezing, and the mole is rejected during healing. This is a very quick procedure, after which a neat scar remains. In this case, the mole is completely destroyed, leaving no opportunity for histological examination.
