Oatmeal can also be used as a scrub. Milled (though not to a dusty state, but rather slightly crushed) oatmeal is an excellent base for many masks for oily skin. It must be poured with warm (but not hot) water and stirred until it becomes a dense slurry. You can add egg white to the oatmeal, beaten well with a few drops of lemon or orange juice. If you want to tone up the oatmeal too, add some low-fat cottage cheese and a couple of drops of grapefruit oil to the oatmeal - this perfectly improves the complexion!

Masks based on fresh vegetables and fruits can be excellent masks for problem skin. Especially if they are rich in vitamin C! So turn your attention to kiwi fruits (which are also rich in potassium), apples, citrus fruits and tomatoes. All these fruits must be well wiped to a state of gruel and applied to the face for about 10-15 minutes. They tighten pores, improve complexion and saturate skin with vitamins. If your skin is more mixed than just oily, then add a little sour cream or low-fat cottage cheese to the above ingredients, as well as half a teaspoon of grape seed oil.
