Video: ❶ Evolution Of The Ideal Of Female Beauty

Beautiful women have always been admired, at all times. The finest mammoth skins, jewels, furs and gold fell at their feet. The beauties were sung by poets, and painters and sculptors tried to capture their beauty and perfection of forms by any available means. But the addictions and ideals of beauty have been different at all times. Location: Location:
Statuettes depicting ancient women have survived to this day. In the modern view, they are not distinguished by anything remarkable - a common consequence of matriarchy, during which a woman was the head of the clan. Health was valued most of all then, because only a healthy woman could give birth to healthy offspring.
The ancient Greeks went further in development - they saw a fusion of harmony in a woman. The statues depicted goddesses: young, perfect bodies, calm serene faces. Their whole appearance spoke of harmony and freedom, however, real women were far from perfect. Similar statues were made by the Romans, only they depicted existing women, real ones.
In the Middle Ages, the Mother of God became the ideal of a woman: a grieving gray face, dark clothes. Everything fleshly was banned, as sinful and devilish. The development of the productive forces brought an increase in prosperity to the townspeople, and the Virgin Mary became prettier at once - her robes became light, her cheeks were rounded and pink.
The Renaissance era freed the human body from church prohibitions, and the flesh broke free. Women were portrayed in luxury: wide hips, large breasts, massive buttocks, tight waist. Beauties breathed health, and more and more often they portrayed women in their prime, who had already given birth or were pregnant.
In the era of absolutism, the distinctive quality of the aristocracy was highly valued - complete unfitness for work. Thin arms, small feet, and a delicate, white-skinned body were in vogue. The wasp waist was especially emphasized, and the protruding blue veins betrayed belonging to the upper class. Youth has been held in high esteem since then and for a long time, the beauties in the portraits are now no more than 22 years old. Gradually, pregnant women in the portraits are replaced by courtesans, on whose faces you can see vice and lust.
However, the development of capitalism again brings fashion to naturalness. Women are depicted in motion - here you can see the leg, which was exposed during fun games in nature.
At the end of the 7th century, women of a new type appeared on the scene - beauties of the half-light: the half-naked legs of variety show dancers, courtesans and simply corrupt women who surprised an individual artist with their fragility.
The beginning of the last century brings a fashion for masculine or "sexless" women: short haircuts, baggy clothes, stern faces with frowning eyebrows. The hips are flat, the chest is small, the figure is markedly athletic. Not a woman, but a real fighting revolutionary comrade.
The Second World War awakened sexuality in women. Defiantly sexy beauties with curvaceous curves and alluring lips are in fashion. Widescreen bikinis and mini skirts drive men crazy.
Now, women's beauty has become a trademark. Beauties do not seek to get married, preferring catwalks and film studios to homework and child care. Well, this is modern time, but we can say for sure that the usual values on which life itself rests cannot be forgotten, and everything will still return to normal.
