Today people are so used to shower gels that it seems they have always been. The sensations that the gel gives us cannot be given even by the most expensive and aromatic soap. And the whole reason is that the gels have a minimum alkali content (or none at all), they contain a large number of useful and aromatic additives, and surfactants - surfactants - serve as the basis for their manufacture. It is thanks to the latter that a high degree of skin cleansing is provided. Location: Location:

When choosing a shower gel, do not be afraid of unfamiliar terms indicated on the label after the word "Composition", such as sodium lauryl sulfate or syndets. These are the very same synthetic substances called surfactants that take care of the purity of our body while we take a shower. Water will not wash away sebum and impurities, water molecules do not react with fat molecules - this is clear. The task of surfactants is precisely the attachment of fat molecules to water molecules. In order for the layman to understand the principle of action of these active substances, chemists explain it this way: one half of the surfactant molecule is lipophilic, i.e. combines with fat, and the other is hydrophilic, i.e. coming into contact with water molecules. In the end, everything works, everyone is fine.

In good, high-quality shower gels, surfactants are present in low concentrations, so that the hydrolipid film that protects our body from drying out is not disturbed. Such gels are absolutely harmless. In addition, they are also useful due to the inclusion in their composition of various extracts of medicinal herbs, algae, natural oils (usually palm, orange, almond, coconut). If you want your shower gel to contain these beneficial ingredients, look at the label and if it's in a foreign language, look for the words "Extract" or "Oil" (extract or oil). Only in this case can you expect a good result from the gel.

If the gel contains alkali (even in a small percentage), then the presence of citric acid should be indicated right there, next to it. If this is not the case, consider whether it is worth purchasing such a tool.

To find a shower gel that would suit you in all respects, before buying you must firmly decide for yourself - what do you expect from the gel? After all, their range is wide enough. And if the cleansing properties of almost all shower gels are almost the same, then natural additives are different for everyone. Therefore, the tasks they are called upon to solve are also different. So there are moisturizing and toning, antibacterial and massage shower gels, as well as nourishing cream gels, aphrodisiac gels, etc. Do not think that they are all "from the same barrel." For example, aphrodisiac gels contain substances that increase sexual activity. And the antibacterial gel contains triclosan, which is able to actively fight microbes and defeat them, as well as extracts of tea tree, calendula or fir, which are natural antiseptics.

And when buying shower gel, be guided by your own scent. Buy what you like, not what fashion dictates or what a friend, colleague or dearest neighbor advised.
