Video: ❶ Renal Failure In Babies Under One Year Old

Renal failure in babies under one year old, which appears in children during the neonatal period, becomes most often the outcome of congenital or hereditary diseases of the vessels, kidney tissue or urinary tract. Location: Location:
Many hereditary diseases that affect the renal parenchyma or renal vessels can lead to kidney disease. These diseases include such congenital syndromes as nephrocalcinosis, Alport syndrome (manifested by kidney damage and deafness), renal tuberous sclerosis.
Congenital kidney disease manifests itself in a child during intrauterine development, but they can cause the development of acute and chronic renal failure. Acquired diseases in young children, such as hemolytic disease of the newborn or sepsis, lead to acute renal failure.
Despite the variety of reasons that lead to the development of renal failure in babies under one year old, all these diseases sooner or later lead to a pronounced impairment of renal function. All these changes require immediate action to slow down the development of intoxication.
What all young children who develop kidney failure have in common is that all these children are very far behind in development from their healthy peers. Babies with kidney disease gain less weight and grow more slowly, and are very likely to develop noticeable skeletal curvatures. Often, children develop symptoms that are characteristic not only of renal failure; these children often develop a pronounced decrease in immunity, which provokes the development of purulent infections.
The treatment of these complications in patients of such a small age is complicated by the fact that many antibiotics for young children under one year old cannot be used precisely because they can have a damaging effect on the kidney tissue.
That is why the task of doctors and parents of patients with renal failure who are not yet a year old is the timely establishment of a diagnosis, taking measures for treatment (if possible), for preventing the development of complications and for treating the phenomena of intoxication, which inevitably occurs if the listed recommendations.
