And if for some reason it is impossible to do this, the dislocation is even corrected surgically.

After the joint is in place, a plaster cast is applied. With hip dislocation, everything is more difficult: skeletal traction is necessary. The length of time the cast is worn depends on the location of the injury. The shoulder is fixed for three weeks, the forearm up to two, and the hip for about a month. This period is very important, because if the healing of the damaged capsule and joint ligaments is impaired, the so-called habitual dislocation may develop in the future. To repeat it, you will no longer even need to make great efforts. So try to keep such a patient from abrupt movements and emphasis on the injured limb.

While the cast is applied, there may still be inflammation and pain, so the injured person will have to take anti-inflammatory drugs, antibiotics to prevent infections and pain relievers.

After the plaster is removed, the doctor prescribes physiotherapy exercises and physiotherapy procedures (this is excluded only in the early stages after the dislocation of the forearm). Massage is also of great importance for the restoration of the functions of the damaged joint. In the event of an injury to the lower extremities, it is sometimes recommended to wear orthopedic shoes (with a dislocated foot, for example).

Recovery from dislocation is much faster if the patient's daily diet contains all the vitamins and amino acids necessary for joints and bones.
