A burn can be caused by exposure to the skin of steam, hot water, flame, chemical compounds, alkalis, acids. In this case, damage to the skin occurs. The patient needs to be given all possible first aid and taken to the traumatology department. Location: Location: If the burn is severe, there may be no pain in places where the skin is damaged. This is due to damage to the nerve endings. However, the initial pain syndrome is so severe that the victim may fall into a coma and lose consciousness. The skin looks white or charred. Do not touch damaged areas, apply ice. This can lead to infection of the damaged tissue. The only thing that others can do is cover the burned places with sterile tissue, try to bring the person to consciousness, give an anesthetic drug and urgently call an ambulance so that the victim is taken to intensive care.

In case of a burn with acid, alkali, chemicals, the skin should be immediately washed under a stream of cold running water, an ice pack should be applied, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug should be given to the victim, an ambulance should be called so that qualified assistance is provided in medical conditions and the necessary treatment is prescribed.

A minor burn can be treated at home. If the skin is only superficially damaged and white blisters appear, you can relieve the pain by applying an ice pack. In no case should you try to pierce or cut off the bubble. Gradually, the blister will disappear and the dead tissue will come off. To speed up the healing process, you can apply raw grated potatoes to the burn, lubricate the damaged areas with sea buckthorn or fir oil.

Sunburns cause equally severe pain. If the skin is burned, it may become covered with blisters, which will subsequently begin to peel off. It is quite possible to relieve the pain if you immediately apply cold kefir or sour cream to the entire surface. If you don't have dairy products at hand, just take a cool shower and grease your skin with a greasy cream. To reduce the heat that accompanies sunburn, you can use nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
