Divide the cod fillet into portions and boil until tender. Boil the fish in a little water.
Add salt, black peas and bay leaves (2 pcs) to the water where the cod is boiled.
Lightly fry the onion in vegetable oil, then add the carrots to it. Roast vegetables until tender.
Add sugar, salt, tomato paste and bay leaf to the vegetables in the skillet. Simmer all this for 10-15 minutes under the lid.

Turn off the heat and add some vinegar, mix everything thoroughly.
