When applying for a job, it is very often required to write an autobiography. This word is translated from Greek as "a description of your life." There are no strict guidelines. This is a free, free story, which is compiled on a blank sheet of paper without graphs and questions. Location: Location: All events in the bio must be listed in chronological order. It is desirable to divide the text into several blocks. In the first, you need to provide the following data: last name, first name and patronymic, date of birth and place of birth. This can be written as in a questionnaire or in one sentence ("I, Ivanov Sergey Pavlovich, was born …").

Several decades ago, it was customary to indicate in the autobiography the social status of the family, for example, they wrote “born into a family of intellectuals”. Now people under 50 do not write that way, but if you wish, you can specify some information about the parents: their names and professions.

In the next block, describe the education received, listing the periods of study, educational institutions and results. All information that you consider important (gold medal, diploma topic, any achievements) can also be indicated. List all levels of education in chronological order: intermediate, college, graduate, doctoral, and so on. If you have not graduated from any institution, please provide a reason. If you worked during your studies, do not forget to write about it: where, in what position, in what period.

The next block is labor activity. It is necessary to indicate where you worked (enterprise, organization, department), in what position, in what profession. Describe your movements in one enterprise. Be sure to indicate the reasons for layoffs, change of profession, relocation. If you have not worked anywhere, write whether you were at the labor exchange, whether you were officially recognized as unemployed.

All of these blocks are the main ones in the autobiography, but you can also indicate important events in your personal life, for example, changes in marital status. Tell us when you got married, divorced, when children were born. Men should also write periods of military service, describe ranks, attitudes towards military duty. Women can mark periods of maternity leave, childcare. You can also describe participation in public organizations, trade unions, about public works.
