Shopaholism is a real phenomenon of our time, becoming more and more widespread. But this is what it is - another psychological disorder or lack of discipline, as yet society has not decided. And this does not prevent shopaholics from spending their last and not their own money on the purchase of necessary, but, most often, absolutely useless things. Location: Location: Shopping mania - an irresistible desire to buy everything at once, very quickly, regardless of whether you need it or not. Shopaholism is in some way akin to drug addiction: a shopaholic is addicted to making a purchase, and needs "doses" of things, which are becoming more and more required. People prone to the mania of shopaholism cannot control themselves when they get into favorable conditions, and when this need progresses, they create opportunities for themselves for squandering.
When making a purchase, the shopaholic experiences euphoria, which resembles the state of a drug addict after taking a dose, and accordingly, wants to experience the same sensations over and over again. This desire is so strong that it makes people spend their last money, get into debt and even steal (this is already the most serious form of shopomania, requiring urgent intervention of a specialist psychologist).
With a lighter form of shopaholism, a person simply cheers up by buying a new thing - and such a step can be considered one of the ways of relaxation. By the way, men have recently begun to join the slender female ranks of shopaholics. But they don't buy themselves underwear and shoes, but fishing gear, tools, cars - depending on the capabilities of their wallet.
Perhaps shopping is so attractive because in a difficult, difficult psychological situation it creates the illusion of happiness, "moving" to another world - without problems, stress, grief, without fearful bosses and unfaithful lovers. And who does not want to visit this attractive world more often, receiving the next portion of endorphins, so necessary for the human body.
Perhaps, for a shopaholic, of all the possible dangers, there is one, the most dangerous, and this is not a financial and debt hole. A situation may arise that the nervous system and the entire "rest" organism of the shopaholic will no longer experience the pleasure and habitual satisfaction of shopping. And nothing can be done about this, except perhaps by going to a psychologist to find a new goal for his own life.
Considering that in shopaholism, psychological fatigue, lack of stress resistance, and a low level of responsibility of the average individual are clearly traced, it makes sense to start resistance at the earliest stages, as soon as you notice in yourself or in a friend / boyfriend a tendency to unnecessary squandering. It is extremely difficult to cope with this defect alone, it is almost impossible - so lend a helping hand to the needy, keep his nervous system healthy, and the budget protected.
